American Landscape and Architectural Design 1850-1920

The Library of Congress has made available online a wonderful collection of 2800 digitised lantern slides representing the development of American buildings and landscapes during the period 1850-1920, partly drawn from the work of Harvard University faculty members. The collection includes views of cities, buildings, parks, estates and gardens and features photographs, maps, plans and models. It is fully searchable and high resolution images are provided.
